NCCCO Certification: Mobile Crane and Digger Derrick
NCCCO Test Preparation & Testing
The Altec Sentry NCCCO Test preparation & testing program prepares experienced crane operators for the NCCCO writtenand practical tests. It is a two-part class designed to help crane and digger derrick operators learn the OSHA regulations andASME standards of safe operation.
The course will take a total of 5 days, which includes 3 days of test preparation, a written test day, and a practical test day.
NCCCO Test Outline
NCCCO certification examinations are structured to include written examinations consisting of a Core exam covering general crane knowledge and one or more specialty exams specific to the type of equipment being certified and followed by a hands-on Practical Examination that evaluates operational skills. This combination of written and practical testing is designed to assess both a candidate's theoretical understanding and their ability to safely operate equipment in real-world conditions, as outlined in NCCCO candidate handbooks and certification materials.

Passing students will receive CCO Certification from the National Commission for Certification of Crane Operators. Per NCCCO regulations, certification will need to be renewed every 5-years.
